Mini PC Launch
Simply NUC, a company we've alreadycovered several times here, has now expanded its lineup of compact PC systems with the addition of the NUC 15 Pro Cyber Canyon. Several versions of the device will be available, including two chassis options: The Tall and Slim models have a height of 54 mm (2.13 in) and 37 mm (1.46 in), respectively, and both versions share a base footprint of 117 x 112 mm (4.61 x 4.41 in). The mini-PC systems can be configured with a range of processors. The top-end model features an Intel Core Ultra 7 265H, which not only offers great CPU performance but also packs an NPU capable of up to 13 TOPS of AI performance (total platform performance: 97 TOPS). This enables AI models to be trained locally on the device, offering the benefit of enhanced data security. Other processor options include theIntel Core Ultra 5 225H, Ultra 5 235H and Ultra 7 255H, as well as the non-Ultra Intel Core 7 240H, Core 5 210H and Core 3 100U.
The NUC systems feature two DDR5 memory slots with support for up to 96 GB of RAM and can also accommodate one M.2 2280 and one M.2 2242 SSD. On models equipped with an Ultra processor, the primary SSD is connected via four PCIe 5.0 lanes. All models are equipped with Wi-Fi 7 and 2.5 Gbps Ethernet for network connectivity. The NUC 15 Pro Cyber Canyon comes with two Thunderbolt 4 ports and two HDMI 2.1 outputs, which can all be used for connecting monitors. Prices start at $789, and shipments are expected to begin in the second quarter of the year.
